A family with a passion for storytelling and ingredient integrity.

Colonial Merchant began with the idea that we were spending too much time reading labels on products we used every day. With a toddler & our dog to consider, we wanted products that were made with high-quality ingredients and safe to use around the whole family.

There were plenty of products out there that were eco-friendly, natural, and biodegradable (which we also wanted), but we also wanted simple. We pulled together household remedies from our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, family, friends and history books of early-American homesteading life to create formulas that are not only easy to use, but have been tested for generations.

And we wanted products that would smell like home, not chemicals. So, we combined our front porch roots to build fragrances that centered around everyday life and the memories made with family & friends.
